Welcome!

pubsdafHello!
My name is Meredith Tomlins, but everybody calls me Tommy!
At a young age, I took a circus arts summer camp in Evanston, Illinois, and became hooked on the physical and performance skills that I had learned. I continued with this camp and added classes throughout the year to my already busy schedule. At 14, I became one of the founding members of The Actors Gymnasium's Teen Ensemble performance group; performing in and around the Chicago area at festivals, parties, gatherings, and in our own shows. At the age of 17, I was cast in Lookingglass Theatre's renowned production of Hephaestus: A Greek Mythology Circus Tale (and would return a few years later in the remount of the show at Chicago's Goodman Theatre.)
After graduating high school, I left for college, only to realize that I didn't belong anywhere but with the circus. I left school at 19 years old and returned to The Actors Gymnasium to teach children and adults aerial and ground skills. Since that time, I have traveled with wonderful people and companies throughout the country, performing in multiple public and private events.
Currently 29, I am based in Chicago, Illinois and have completed the Professional Track training program at the New England Center for Circus Arts. I am currently employed as a coach at The Actors Gymnasium - the studio that started this all. If "All the world's a stage," and I have the whole world ahead of me, I'm sure I will be on a stage near you soon!
-Tommy
